Philippians 3:7-11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Philippians 3 in context

Scripture Focus

7But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
8Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
9And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
10That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
11If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
Philippians 3:7-11

Biblical Context

Paul revalues his former gains as loss for Christ, pursuing the knowledge of Christ and the power of His resurrection, that he might be conformed to Him and attain the resurrection.

Neville's Inner Vision

Imagine your life as a stage where every outward gain you cherished is but a temporary costume. Paul’s words invite you to count those things as loss for the excellency of knowing Christ Jesus your Lord. In Neville’s light, this is not renunciation of life but a turning of your internal currency toward the I AM—the consciousness in which you are found in Him. The righteousness you seek is not earned by striving, but apprehended by faith in the divine I AM, a faith that awakens you to the power of resurrection already present as your natural state. When you stop identifying with self-will (the law of do and must) and begin to identify with the Christ within, you are joined to the fellowship of His sufferings as the discipline of true alignment, letting go of separation and dying to the old self. Then death becomes a doorway, and your inner life rises into the resurrection you have already imagined. This is the living death and living life in one moment, here and now.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: sit quietly, close your eyes, and declare, 'I am found in Christ; my own righteousness is God’s by faith.' Feel the release in your chest as you accept the I AM as your sole authority, then dwell in the sensation of being resurrected now.
