Biblical Context
Philippians 3:3 teaches that true circumcision is spiritual: we worship God in the Spirit and rejoice in Christ Jesus, with no confidence in the flesh.
Neville's Inner Vision
To the mind that seeks outward form, this verse reveals an inner transformation. The circumcision is not a ritual of the body but a purification of consciousness in the I AM. When you dwell in spirit, you shift from dependence on external deeds to the assurance of inner awareness—the I AM that never wavers. Rejoicing in Christ Jesus becomes the felt realization that your consciousness already embodies the reality you seek; faith is trust in the inner vision rather than in fleshly measures. The flesh, with its past habits and social judgments, loses its claim as a source of worth when you acknowledge covenant loyalty to your own inner life. This is humility: relinquishing the search for status through outward performance and resting in the unchanging nature of your awareness. Allow the Spirit to guide action from within, and observe healing and empowerment arise as you align with the inner Law of consciousness.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare, 'I am the circumcision, worshiping God in the Spirit.' Feel the I AM as your central power and revise any belief in the flesh by affirming, 'I have no confidence in the flesh; I trust the inner Christ within me.' Do this for 5 minutes daily.
