Inner Body Transformation

Philippians 3:21 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Philippians 3 in context

Scripture Focus

21Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
Philippians 3:21

Biblical Context

The verse declares that God will transform our mortal bodies to resemble Christ's glorious body, by the working power that can subdue all things. It speaks of a future change that accompanies the believer's inner renewal.

Neville's Inner Vision

Consider first that 'vile' and 'glorious' are not two bodies, but two states of consciousness. The 'vile body' is the mind attached to limitation, fear, and the belief in separation; the 'glorious body' is the awareness that I AM—the one power that fashions form. The working whereby He is able to subdue all things unto Himself is the law of imagination in action: you must assume and feel as though the change is already real. When you dwell in the feeling of I AM as all-sufficient, you are using the same power that 'subdues' the world. Do not seek outward signs; look inward. Your inner state creates the outer experience, so the body is transformed by your conviction of your true nature. This is resurrection in consciousness, a new creation where the old limitation yields to divine form. The key is repetition, quiet attention, and a continuous assumption that the glorious body is now in expression through you.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Assume the feeling, 'I am transformed now'; imagine your body bathed in radiant light, shaped by the glorious form, and dwell there until it feels real.
