Philippians 3:18-19 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Philippians 3 in context

Scripture Focus

18(For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
19Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
Philippians 3:18-19

Biblical Context

Paul warns that many walk as enemies of the cross, whose God is their belly and who mind earthly things; their end is destruction.

Neville's Inner Vision

Paul's words are not distant condemnation but a map of your inner weather. The 'enemies of the cross' arise as states of consciousness when you align with appetite and material clamor; their end is destruction because they separate you from the truth of your I AM. The cross of Christ is inner discipline: the image of your divine self, your awareness, refusing to identify with appetite or status. When you mind earthly things, you have traded the spacious kingdom within for shadows; when you glory in shame, you worship a false idea of yourself. The remedy is to revise your assumption: see and feel yourself as the I AM here and now, not defined by fame or hunger but by limitless consciousness. Imagination creates reality; when you dwell in the truth of your oneness with God, your outer conditions rearrange to match that inner state. The change you seek is a shift of state, not a change in places.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes. Assume the I AM is your present nourishment and wealth, and feel it real for several breaths.
