Philippians 3:1 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Philippians 3 in context

Scripture Focus

1Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.
Philippians 3:1

Biblical Context

Paul urges believers to rejoice in the Lord. He says repeating the message is not grievous for him, yet it serves as a safety for them.

Neville's Inner Vision

Rejoicing here is not a mood but the recognition that the I AM—the Lord within—exists in the very moment of awareness. When Paul says rejoice, he invites you to align with the living state that never changes. To write the same things again is not a burden to him; it is the method by which the mind settles into the reality of God within. The 'Lord' you are called to rejoice in is your own consciousness in which every thought and feeling either expands your light or dims it. Your safety does not come from external fortunes but from the steadiness of this inner state: a practiced, loving revisitation that confirms who you are. When you live this, you do not chase happiness; you anchor it by assuming the truth that you are already in the kingdom of God, and that kingdom is inside you, here and now. Rejoice until your entire awareness softly echoes, 'I am.'

Practice This Now

Practice: Sit quietly, breathe, and assume the joy as your current state. Silently repeat 'I rejoice in the Lord' until the felt sense of presence fills you.
