Philippians 2:12-13

Biblical Context

Paul urges believers to work out their salvation with reverence. He adds that God is at work within, enabling both the will and the action.

Neville's Inner Vision

Beloved, the apostle speaks not of external duty but of inner alignment. 'Work out your own salvation' becomes the daily practice of letting the I AM, the God within, shine through your life. Do not chase salvation as a distant prize, but revise your sense of self until you acknowledge you are already the vessel through which divine will and power manifest. The 'fear and trembling' is reverence—an awakened awe that you are not separate from the source of being, but an instrument of it. When you stand in that reverence, the inner impulse to act—'to will and to do'—is given, arising from the very core of your consciousness. The movement is cooperative: you align your thinking and feeling with the divine pattern, and God’s energy flows through you to will and accomplish what pleases Him. In practice, you do not strive from lack; you assume the truth of your oneness, and your experiences begin to reflect the inner action of the I AM.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, place your hand on your chest, and repeat: 'I am the I AM; God within me wills and does.' Feel the act of God at work in you as you go about your day.
