Scripture Focus

4I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,
5Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;
Philemon 1:4-5

Biblical Context

Paul thanks God for Philemon, mentioning him in prayers, and notes his love and faith toward Jesus and all saints.

Neville's Inner Vision

To the I AM within, this line is a description of your current state, not a distant commendation of Philemon. When I say, I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers, I am simply turning my attention to the beloved in my own inner world, and thereby inviting that reality into my day. The love and faith toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints, become an atmosphere I breathe, a vibration I dwell in. It is not a request so much as a declaration that the binding truth is already established in consciousness: you and I are one in the divine life. In this light, prayer is not begging but recognition; it aligns my mind with the truth that the beloved is present, whole, and connected to the whole community of saints. As I inhabit this state, I notice my own heart expanding, and the sense of separation dissolving into unity, until the I AM perceives the world through the same light that sees Philemon, you, and every saint as one.

Practice This Now

Imaginative_act: Practice for a few minutes: close your eyes, repeat mentally: 'I thank my God for you; your love and faith toward Jesus and all saints are real in my awareness.' Then imagine that your inner prayer creates tangible harmony in your relationships, allowing unity to ripple outward.
