Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Philemon offers grace and peace from God through Jesus and thanks the beloved for love and faith. It says faith becomes effectual when you acknowledge every good thing in you in Christ Jesus, bringing refreshment to the saints.
Neville's Inner Vision
Philemon is an inner state of consciousness, a heart posture toward Christ and community within your own being. Grace and peace are the atmosphere of your I AM, the indwelling presence of God and Jesus flowing through awareness. The reference to prayers and thanksgiving signals the ongoing inner conversation of recognizing and aligning with this Christ presence. The key line, that the communication of thy faith may become effectual by acknowledging every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus, becomes a directive: your faith wakes to life when you acknowledge the good already present as Christ in you. This acknowledgment is a revision of perception—seeing abundance where you once saw lack. As you inhabit this inner acknowledgment, your love and faith refresh the 'bowels' of the saints—the tender, inner nature—within you. Joy and consolation arise as you rest in this inner communion, perceiving that you are already in fellowship with God and all saints through your awakened awareness.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, breathe, and declare: I am the grace and peace of God; I acknowledge every good thing in me in Christ Jesus. Rest in that feeling until it feels real to your inner sight.
