Biblical Context
The passage describes men defiled by a dead body who cannot keep the Passover, so they seek Moses and Aaron to question their exclusion.
Neville's Inner Vision
Truth stands here: defilement is not a fixed outer fact but a state of consciousness you have consented to. The dead body symbolizes attachments to old stories, fear of mortality, and a belief you are cut off from the divine timing. Moses and Aaron stand as inner authorities—the I AM awareness and the rational mind—that can be appealed to for rightful standing within your inner season of worship. When the men say, 'We are defiled by the dead body,' they voice a belief, not a decree. The appointed season—the Passover—exists as a manifestation of your alignment with the one Life that animates all. To restore participation you must revise your sense of self, not your surroundings. Assume the feeling of one who is clean, who stands within the current Passover, who offers in his appointed time. Imagination creates reality; by assuming a state of readiness, you walk into the feast as if it were your natural inheritance. The inner voice responds by dissolving the belief of defilement and revealing the season you sought already resides within you.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare in the present tense: I am clean, I am in the Passover now. Visualize standing before the inner Moses and Aaron and feel the offering accepted.
