Inner Nazirite State
Numbers 6:6-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Numbers 6 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage describes a Nazirite who separates unto the LORD, avoiding contact with dead bodies and keeping his consecration on his head so that, all the days of separation, he remains holy.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within the inner economy of consciousness, Numbers 6:6-8 reveals a state of unwavering consecration. The man who 'separateth himself unto the LORD' refuses all contact with the 'dead body' of fear, doubt, or any death-thought, for his identity is not touched by what dies outside him; the 'consecration of his God is upon his head'—the crown of I AM awareness that stamps every thought and feeling. This is not a ritual to keep clean externals, but a discipline of inner alignment: by choosing the I AM as the president of his mind, he remains holy unto the LORD all the days of separation. The alive business of life continues, yet the inner frame remains untouched by decay; every event is interpreted through the truth that the self is the living temple in which God dwells. When you perceive yourself as the one who separates from death and keeps a sacred posture, you awaken to the fact that holiness is a state of consciousness, not a condition that merely lasts outwardly.
Practice This Now
Assume the state now: declare 'I am separated unto the LORD,' and feel a crown of holy light resting on the top of the head; whenever death-thoughts arise, revise to I AM and remain holy.
