Inner Atonement in Numbers
Numbers 6:10-11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
On the eighth day, two birds are brought to the priest—one for sin and one burnt offering—to make atonement for sin from contact with the dead and to consecrate the head.
Neville's Inner Vision
On the page the eighth day marks a turning of attention inside, not a calendar moment. The law you read is psychological: sin and offerings signify inner states, not mere ritual. The two birds stand for two aspects of consciousness: the sin offering releases what you have believed about your past, and the burnt offering consecrates the renewed self to the I AM—the awareness you truly are. The dead represents those thoughts and attachments you have allowed to keep you bound; when you bring them to the inner priest, the I AM within, cleansing occurs and your head is hallowed—the mind re-centered in truth. Atonement then unfolds as a revision of your self-conception: you replace the old story with one that is pure, integrated, and reconciled with God as awareness. Practice this now: assume you are already forgiven and holy; feel the state as real in your chest and brain; let your imagination perform the rite and witness your inner world reorganize itself into order and peace.
Practice This Now
Take five minutes in quiet; imagine presenting two birds to the priest within you—one for past error and one for consecration. Say, 'I forgive myself and am holy,' and feel the renewed self settle into your head.
