Inner Purity, Outer Boundaries

Numbers 5:4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Numbers 5 in context

Scripture Focus

4And the children of Israel did so, and put them out without the camp: as the LORD spake unto Moses, so did the children of Israel.
Numbers 5:4

Biblical Context

Israelites obeyed the Lord's command and removed the unclean from the camp, exactly as instructed by Moses.

Neville's Inner Vision

Look within: Israel is a state of consciousness; the command to cast them out is the discipline of clean thinking. The camp is the circle of awareness; what you let stay corrupts your inner atmosphere. When you hear the call—'as the LORD spake unto Moses'—you align with your I AM, the inner Lord of your life, and you obey. The act of putting them outside the camp is the practical symbol of removing thoughts, impulses, or influences that do not belong to your highest state. This is not punishment but the maintenance of holiness so that truth can enter with clarity. Practically, you must assume that the command is given to you now and revise any stubborn belief that blocks your good. Feel it real: I am the one who has cast out the thought outside my mental camp, and the camp is purified. As you continue in this way, your outer world follows the inner purity, and your life reflects your obedience.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly and assume the inner command has spoken to you now: cast out a distracting thought outside your mental camp and feel the space become clear.
