Inner Jealousy Law
Numbers 5:29-31 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Numbers 5 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage describes a ritual dealing with jealousy: when suspicion arises, the matter is brought before an inner law and the assessor applies it, yielding innocence for the faithful self and burden for the other.
Neville's Inner Vision
Numbers 5:29-31, when seen through Neville Goddard’s lens, becomes an inner drama about belief and consciousness rather than a ceremonial crime. The wife stands for a drifting thought or impulse that would separate you from your unity with the I AM. When the spirit of jealousy arises, you do not punish a person; you bring the thought to the altar of awareness—set the 'woman' before the LORD—and let the inner priest apply the law by your current state of consciousness. If you cling to the belief that a misstep proves your guilt, the thought bears the burden and you call that guilt into your life. If, however, you affirm that you are the I AM, that you remain one with the divine nature, the 'man' remains guiltless and the appearing consequence dissolves in your renewed awareness. The ritual is a mental technique: observe the surge, name it, revise your view to oneness, and feel the truth that appearances cannot alter the constancy of your being. The goal is not justice to another but the alignment of your inner life with God-consciousness.
Practice This Now
Assume the state 'I AM one with God,' and when jealousy arises, hold that image and feel-it-real by repeating it until the impulse loses charge.
