Scripture Focus

1And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead:
Numbers 5:1-2

Biblical Context

God commands Israel to remove from the camp anyone marked by disease or defilement—the leper, the one with an issue, or one defiled by the dead.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of the camp as the field of your consciousness. The LORD speaking to Moses is the 'I AM' awakening in you, declaring that certain elements—fearful beliefs, guilt, and memories that 'defile' the mind—must be escorted out. The leper, the man with an issue, the dead body are symbols of states of awareness you have allowed to remain in your house of consciousness. To purify is not by external law but by inner decision: you revise the state you inhabit to one of wholeness, alignment, and purity. When you assume, 'I am pure now,' you begin to see those defiled elements withdraw from your mental camp. The 'camp' becomes a temple, the boundary between self and other dissolves as you realize the I AM can only dwell in a clean vessel. This is the practical meaning: separation into a new state of holiness occurs as you accept your true nature and change your mind from dwelling on fear.

Practice This Now

Imagine the camp as a white temple; see the leper and defilement being led out, and feel the space filled with light as you declare, 'I am pure now.'
