Scripture Focus

8And the cities which ye shall give shall be of the possession of the children of Israel: from them that have many ye shall give many; but from them that have few ye shall give few: every one shall give of his cities unto the Levites according to his inheritance which he inheriteth.
Numbers 35:8

Biblical Context

The verse describes allocating cities among Israel in proportion to each person's wealth, and giving them to the Levites according to inheritance.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within the inner landscape of your being, the 'cities' are distinct houses of awareness you possess. Israel stands for your total consciousness, and the Levites symbolize the inner priesthood—the qualities that tend the temple of your mind. To give as commanded is to recognize that your inner wealth is not meant for private hoard, but for care of the living temple within. Proportional allocation is the natural law of your inner economy: the areas where you feel abundant contribute more attention, discipline, and nurturing, while the places that feel scarce still offer a portion in keeping with your inherited patterns. Your inheritance is the pattern of thoughts and feelings you believe to be yours. By reassigning those inner properties—granting each 'city' to the service of the Levites—you honor the Presence within, the I AM that animates every thought. When you consciously distribute your mental cities, you establish an inner order that supports the state you desire, and your outer world will move in harmony as the I AM presides.

Practice This Now

Imaginative_act: Take a few breaths and pick one area you want to empower. Imagine a city of consciousness you own being allocated to the inner Levites, and feel the gratitude as you commit it to the I AM's service.
