Neville's Inner Vision
Notice that Numbers speaks in travel and camps: departure from Mount Hor and arrival at Zalmonah. To Neville Goddard’s reading, this is not a physical itinerary but a map of your inner life. Mount Hor stands for a former level of awareness—a rigid sense of separation or lack. Departing Hor marks your choice to leave that state behind. Zalmonah is an inner encampment, a dwelling place where you abide in Presence, faith, and endurance. In this view, God is not distant but the I AM within you—the steady sense of 'I am' here and now. When you dwell in Zalmonah, you live from the end, acting as if the state you seek is already yours. The outer scene will follow as a natural expression of the inner truth, not by force but by the law of assumption. Perseverance and trust are the tent pegs; Providence is the soft light at the entrance. If doubt arises, return to the feeling that you are already there and remind yourself: I am in Zalmonah, and Zalmonah is my present awareness.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and repeat, I am in Zalmonah now. Hold that sense of Presence for a few minutes and carry the assumption with you into your day.
