Biblical Context
The verses state that a woman's vow stands if her father approves; if he disallows, the vow doesn't stand and forgiveness is granted.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the consciousness of Neville's teaching, the 'daughter' is a state of mind declaring a vow to the LORD. The 'father' represents the inner authority of awareness—the part of you that hears and passes judgment. When you 'bind yourself by a bond' in imagination and your inner father hears and remains silent, that vowed state is affirmed and begins to operate in your life. If, however, the inner authority disallows the vow the moment it hears it, the vow is not established—yet forgiveness follows, because you have encountered a misalignment and the inner law is restoring balance. The outer world responds to the state you have accepted inwardly; so the vitality of the vow rests in your present feeling and consent of the higher I AM. Thus, the verse invites you to align your inner will with the law of your own consciousness, knowing that your authority can sustain or revise any commitment you make. Remember, imagination is the power that makes this real, here and now.
Practice This Now
Choose a single vow you wish to anchor today. In the I AM presence, assume you have already accepted it; feel the satisfaction and hold that state until it becomes your habitual reality.
