In Neville's sense, the 'husband' is your state of consciousness—your I AM awareness that holds the reins of your inner world. A vow is merely a persistent assumption you have accepted in your mind. When you listen with quiet confidence, refusing to argue against your desire, you effectively say, 'I am already what I intend to be.' The moment your inner man gives assent by silence, that assumption hardens into fact in the realm of appearances. If you allow resistance or chatter to interrupt that inner consent, you loosen the seal; if you maintain quiet, steady belief, you seal the vow into your life. The day-by-day phrase suggests that this is not a one-off image but a living state you inhabit; your job is to stay in the feeling of the wish fulfilled and to care for the feeling of faithfulness and obedience to your inner law.
