Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
On the eighth day there is a solemn assembly, with no labor allowed. The people bring prescribed sacrifices—bullock, ram, seven blemish-free lambs—and a sin offering goat, along with the continual burnt offering and its offerings.
Neville's Inner Vision
On the eighth day you enter a solemn inner assembly where the ritual becomes a drama of your consciousness. The bullock, ram, and seven blemish-free lambs symbolize steadfast, ardent, and pure-minded thoughts you present to the I AM, each offered with precise intention as a sweet savour to God. The meat and drink offerings correspond to the daily sustenance you supply to these states—habits, choices, and expressions—given in exact measure by your current level of awareness. The goat for sin offering marks your willingness to release past errors and self-judgment into the fire of awareness, thereby revising your trajectory. The continual burnt offering and its accompanying offerings remind you to maintain a constant state of gratitude and presence, a perpetual acknowledgment of the divine within as life flows through you. The prohibition against work is the invitation to rest from external striving and listen for the inward impulse—the I AM’s guidance—that shapes every moment.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Assume the role of the inner celebrant and declare, 'I am the I AM offering.' Feel the chosen state of consciousness as a sweet savour offered to God and let it become your reality.
