Biblical Context

Numbers 26:8-9 records the lineage of Pallu and names Dathan and Abiram, who opposed Moses and Aaron in the assembly. It highlights a rebellion that turns on pride against divine order.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within you, the sons of Pallu signify inner faculties taking form, and Dathan and Abiram are not external foes but rebellious states of consciousness. They were 'famous in the congregation' because the mind often repeats a doubtful story about how it can prosper by defying the higher order. To 'strove against Moses and Aaron' is to resist the guidance of your inner Moses and Aaron—the faculties of discernment, truth, and order. When you 'strove against the LORD,' you oppose the I AM, the unconditioned awareness in which all separation dissolves. Neville teaches that such opposition is never external; it is a conviction you carry as a mental state. The cure is inner alignment: refuse to feed the rebel, revise the scene in your imagination so that the I AM governs every thought, and let covenant loyalty—your abiding awareness of Divine reality—become your habitual atmosphere. Persist in this feeling-it-real, and the old rebellion loses its grip as your life begins to harmonize with your highest self.

Practice This Now

Imaginative practice: Sit quietly, declare I AM the LORD of my mind, revise rebellious thoughts as untrue, and feel the calm, aligned I AM presence within.
