Read Numbers 23 in context

Scripture Focus

24Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.
Numbers 23:24

Biblical Context

The verse depicts a rising, sovereign energy within the inner states of consciousness, a great lion that will not rest until its aims are achieved. It heralds unstoppable inner victory when aligned with the I AM.

Neville's Inner Vision

Behold this line as a map of your inner kingdom. The great lion is the decisive activity of your I AM when you assent to its authority. The rise and lifting up speak of consciousness awaken to sovereign rule, not through struggle but through the sure conviction that you are already that power. It shall not lie down until it eats its prey and drinks the blood of the slain because it recognizes no rival in the field of minds that can outlast it. The prey is any desired outcome you persist in assuming; the slain are the old beliefs you ruthlessly slay by the present-tense assertion of your I AM. When you imagine from first-person certainty, you become the lion and all surrounding events bend to your inner state. Imagination is your true governor; feel it real now, revise lack into abundance, and persist in the feeling that you are invincible in God. Your inner Israelites rise to rule, and your life reflects the victorious state you willingly occupy.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, stand in the throne-room of I AM, and declare, 'I am the Lion of God within me, invincible.' Hold the feeling as if it were your present reality for a minute or two.
