Biblical Context
God comes to Balaam and instructs him not to go with Balak's messengers, for the people are blessed. The passage reveals that the true power to curse or bless rests in the inner state, not in external demands.
Neville's Inner Vision
Numbers 22:9-12 becomes a map of consciousness. Balaam’s fear that he might overcome and drive out a people is the mind’s attempt to control fate through force. God’s reply—‘Thou shalt not go with them; thou shalt not curse the people: for they are blessed’—is the inward veto of a higher state of awareness. In Neville’s terms, Balak’s caravan and the king’s demand symbolize outward circumstances pressing for a negative outcome. The true sign of power is not in bending others to your will but in recognizing your own I AM, the blessed condition that cannot be undone by a projection. When you believe you are cursed, you consent to a limited self; when you believe you are blessed, you affirm your wholeness and the right to prosper. The prohibitive word is sovereignty: you refuse to entertain any thought that diminishes your inner nature. Thus prophecy ceases to be an external forecast and becomes an inner, unwavering decree of blessing that stands regardless of appearances.
Practice This Now
Assume the stance: 'I am blessed and cannot be cursed.' Feel it real for a moment; then let the outer scene dissolve into light while your inner decree remains unshaken.
