Read Numbers 20 in context

Scripture Focus

1Then came the children of Israel, even the whole congregation, into the desert of Zin in the first month: and the people abode in Kadesh; and Miriam died there, and was buried there.
2And there was no water for the congregation: and they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron.
Numbers 20:1-2

Biblical Context

Israel enters the desert at Kadesh; Miriam dies there. The congregation has no water and gathers against Moses and Aaron.

Neville's Inner Vision

To Neville, the desert narrative is a drama of consciousness, not a map of geography. Zin becomes the dry state of mind where belief dries up when you forget your I AM. Miriam’s death is the release of an old story about lack, a cleansing that makes room for the new impression of your true self. The lack of water is a projection of inner drought, a collective thought-formation in your own mind. Moses and Aaron symbolize the inner faculties that speak the truth of your being to the situation—the I AM as awareness that carries your demand to the Source. In this light, the crisis is a call to revision: you are not seeking water outside, you are refreshing your sense of self until you feel the water of life within. When you assume the I AM's reality—that you are fully supplied, now—the illusion of drought dissolves and you walk away from Kadesh knowing abundance is your natural state.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and declare the I AM within you as the source of all supply. Imagine a continual stream of water flowing through your mind until you feel abundance as your natural state.
