Guarding The Inner Sanctuary

Numbers 18:3–4 speaks not to a geographical tabernacle but to the sanctuary you carry within. The 'charge' you are told to keep is the unwavering attention of your own I AM—the inner steward who tends the altar of imagination, gratitude, and faith. The vessels of the sanctuary and the altar are your most sacred states of consciousness; they represent the realized ideas you cherish as real. To draw near them with doubt or idle thought would endanger the temple, so the decree that the stranger shall not come near becomes a law of mental hygiene: guard your inner state against every thought that would profane it. When you stay faithful to this inner service, you are joined to the work; your consciousness aligns with the divine Presence, and the temple radiates with the presence of God. The separation is not separation from life but a necessary boundary that keeps your vision pure enough for God to inhabit. Practice this in your day: treat your I AM as the keeper of the sanctuary, and let imagined acts of devotion fill the space you live in.
