The rebels are your persistent thoughts of separation, murmuring against the order of your divine nature. By placing Aaron's rod before the testimony, you acknowledge that your life is governed by an inner law, not by the crowd of fear and habit. When you align with that inner law, the old self that trembles at 'die' loses its grip; the vitality of your true self rises as if a gate is closed to the old belief and opened to the new. The fear of death the people voice is the ego clinging to what seems certain; in truth, those who stay within the tabernacle, the sphere of the I AM, are kept safe by its presence.
