Read Numbers 17 in context

Scripture Focus

1And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2Speak unto the children of Israel, and take of every one of them a rod according to the house of their fathers, of all their princes according to the house of their fathers twelve rods: write thou every man's name upon his rod.
3And thou shalt write Aaron's name upon the rod of Levi: for one rod shall be for the head of the house of their fathers.
4And thou shalt lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you.
5And it shall come to pass, that the man's rod, whom I shall choose, shall blossom: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you.
Numbers 17:1-5

Biblical Context

God commands Moses to gather rods from each tribe; the rod God chooses will miraculously blossom, signaling divine selection and silencing murmuring.

Neville's Inner Vision

In Neville's telling, the twelve rods symbolize twelve states of consciousness within you, each representing a form of loyalty or belief. The one God will choose—the rod that blossoms—speaks to the moment your consciousness aligns with a single, living truth: I AM. The tabernacle and the testimony are the field of awareness where this alignment is witnessed. When you dwell in the awareness of your true being, the inner sign appears: the blossoming not of wood, but of conviction finally expressed as reality. The murmuring of doubt dissolves as you acknowledge a chosen state of mind, and that state becomes your authority in action. Your task is to assume the reality of your chosen inner state, and let its natural outgrowth in life confirm your inner eligibility. This is not show or effort but a calling into oneness with your essential I AM, where the evidence of transformation unfolds in its own time within you.

Practice This Now

Assume, right now, that a single inner belief about yourself has been chosen and is ready to blossom. Sit quietly, place your attention on the height of your chest (I AM), and mentally write your name on a rod. Place it in the sanctuary of your mind and feel the rod begin to flower, as if your inner authority has been recognized; let the sensation of certainty replace doubt.
