Biblical Context
Moses calls Korah and his company to stand before the LORD with censers, and the congregation gathers at the door of the tabernacle as the glory of the LORD appears.
Neville's Inner Vision
There is a scene in Numbers that speaks not to history but to your inner life. Korah’s revolt mirrors the old belief that life is run by the crowd and by contention, not by the I AM within. The censers and their smoke symbolize your passing thoughts and dramatic pictures you offer to the sense of God’s Presence at the door of your heart. Moses and Aaron represent the steadiness of your higher state of consciousness, the one who calls all your divided impulses to align at the threshold. When the glory of the LORD reveals itself, it is your own consciousness recognizing its unity with itself; it does not punish you but exposes the rift between your former, anxious self and the truth of oneness. The invitation is to move from clamor to quiet worship: to allow your attention to assemble at the door with faithful intention, not to condemn but to be purified. In that moment the crowd dissolves into one Presence, and you experience that you and God are the same I AM in manifestation.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: In a moment of stillness, assume the state 'I AM' as your permanent posture. Picture standing at the door of your inner tabernacle, breath steady, and feel the incense of conviction rise as you declare, 'I and the Presence are one.'
