Biblical Context
Korah and the Levites are brought near to God with Aaron and question whether they too should seek the priesthood; their gathering is described as murmuring against the LORD and against Aaron.
Neville's Inner Vision
This passage is a map of inner life. The priesthood is not a rank but a state of consciousness you awaken. 'He hath brought thee near to him' signals you have already entered the presence of God in awareness. The Leviim within represent the crowd of beliefs clinging to status, and their 'seek ye the priesthood also?' is the ego resisting your established inner alignment. Aaron stands as your inner function—the steady priestly perception that worships in the temple of the mind. When the inner chorus asks, 'what is Aaron, that ye murmur against him?' you are invited to see the ego muttering against your own I AM. To murmur against Aaron is to murmur against the LORD, your divine I AM. The cure is loyalty to the inner call: reaffirm that you are already brought near, that you are the priesthood within, and that obedience to this certainty dissolves conflict. The outer difficulties then become signals guiding you back to the one presence within.
Practice This Now
Impose this practice: sit quietly and declare, 'I am brought near to God; I am the priesthood within; I stand in the I AM now.' Then visualize stepping into a temple of awareness and feel the unwavering presence affirming your inner authority.
