Numbers 13:17

Biblical Context

Moses sends spies to survey the land of Canaan and instructs them to ascend to a high vantage. It frames ascent and discernment as inner preparation for entering a promised state.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the inward law of your being, the text points to you. Moses is the I AM within you, sending your attention to spy the land called Canaan—the realm of your fulfilled desire. The words Get you up this way southward and go up into the mountain are not geographic directions but inner movements. Southward signifies listening to your lower senses, the chatter of limitation; upward ascent is lifting your consciousness to a higher vantage point where you can discern what is possible rather than what is probable. The spies are your thoughts and senses that look over your life; their report becomes your inner verdict. As you observe, you must not be swayed by fear or rumor. Your task is to hold in awareness the end you desire, and allow your inner sight to confirm that the land already exists within you. The I AM, immovable, perceives it all. When you adopt the mindset of possession before you see evidence, you set the stage for the event to unfold.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Close your eyes, and assume the end is already yours; feel the reality of possessing the land and let that feeling settle in your body for a few breaths.
