Read Numbers 11 in context

Scripture Focus

25And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease.
Numbers 11:25

Biblical Context

The LORD descends, takes some of Moses' spirit, and gives it to seventy elders. When the Spirit rests on them, they prophesy continually.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of 'the Spirit' not as a separate power, but as a state of consciousness you awaken. The cloud that comes down is your awareness actively descending into the place where you live your daily thoughts. When God takes from the spirit upon Moses and gives it to the seventy, he is showing you that your inner capacities are not limited to one person; consciousness can be shared by the many facets of your being. Prophesying, in this sense, is the natural expression of your awakened imagination: insights, decisions, and visions that flow freely when the mind is saturated with awareness. As the Spirit rests upon them and they prophesy, you experience the freedom of contiguous, non-stop creative guidance. The lesson is not about external authority, but about recognizing that you carry within you the same source of inspiration, ready to be drawn upon at any moment. By tending your inner state—making the I AM the ruling fact—you distribute the fullness of God within your own life and others.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine a cloud resting on you; feel the Spirit's presence infuse your next acts. Then revise a limiting belief by journaling one line of prophecy about your near future.
