In Neville's light, the journey is an inner movement of consciousness. The armies are your faculties—imagination, belief, will—arrayed by a deliberate decision. When they set forward, you have chosen to move your life forward from within, and the outer march follows as this inner alignment becomes form. Providence is the alignment of your inner disposition with events; you do not await some distant call. Instead you practice the feeling of already moving, and the world mirrors that inner motion. If you imagine yourself as already on the march toward your goal, holding a clear purpose and the sensation of forward momentum, the path widens and your steps become confident. The verse invites you to accept that your journey is the external image of your inner arrangement, and by sustaining this inner forward impulse you confirm your I AM and invite creation to respond.
