Biblical Context
Numbers 10:2-5 describes two silver trumpets used to call the assembly and to direct the camps; blowing them gathers the people and signals movement.
Neville's Inner Vision
Two trumpets of silver are not metal objects but symbolic instruments of consciousness. The first trumpet calls the assembly—your whole mind gathering into the sanctuary of the present I AM. The second is the journeying trumpet, the movement of your inner states toward a chosen direction under divine order. When both trumpets sound, the entire assembly of your being comes to the door of the tabernacle of your heart, a figurative gathering of thoughts, memories, and feelings into one centered awareness. If you blow only the single trumpet, you call forth the princes—the heads of your inner forces—those ruling designs of your life who stand ready to serve the unified purpose. The alarm blast that sends the east camps forward is your cue to act in faith, to move outward in alignment with an inner decision. In Neville's view, God is not a distant king but the I AM within you; imagination is the instrument that makes this inner fidelity tangible. By rehearsing the sound in mind and heart, you awaken obedience and covenant loyalty to the divine order that governs your life.
Practice This Now
Assume you are the two trumpets of silver, sounding as one with the I AM; feel the inner assembly gathering and the camps moving forward in harmony. Close your eyes, breathe, and imagine the call drawing all inner aspects into unity, then act from that unified, divinely guided state.
