Nehemiah 10:1-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Nehemiah 10:1-8 shows a formal sealing of a covenant by Nehemiah and the priestly leaders. It anchors holiness, true worship, and the sense of God's Presence as a lived inner reality.
Neville's Inner Vision
All the names listed are not historical men to be remembered, but inner states of consciousness you call forth within. Nehemiah, the Tirshatha, is the governing I AM that orders your inner life; the priests named—Seraiah, Azariah, Jeremiah, and their fellow workers—are faculties of worship, reverence, obedience, purity, and discernment. When you seal with the heart, you make an inner covenant with the Presence, affirming that God dwells in you as you dwell in God. The act is not ceremonial outwardly, but a turning of your imagination toward holiness, a separation from fear and noise, and a conscious acknowledgment that the divine Presence is with you now. Feel the atmosphere shift as you declare, 'I AM the temple; I AM the witness; I AM the sealing of this covenant.' Your life then proceeds from that choice, and ordinary events become expressions of a sanctified mind revealing the inner Kingdom within.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: In the next quiet moment, declare 'I AM the sealed covenant now,' and feel the Presence as a living reality until it is your natural state. Let any fear fade while you rest in that knowing.
