Jerusalem Within: Inner Report
Nehemiah 1:2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Nehemiah 1 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Nehemiah learns the condition of Jerusalem and the remnant of exiles by inquiring of his brethren. The moment of inquiry signals his intent to assess the inner state before action.
Neville's Inner Vision
Nehemiah's question about the state of those who escaped and Jerusalem is not a geographic inquiry but a movement of consciousness. Hanani, one of my brethren, represents the inner kin within you who brings news from the hidden camps of your mind. The exiles are the old beliefs still held in captivity by fear; Jerusalem is the inner city of covenant awareness that awaits your conscious rise. When you ask about them, you practice alignment with your true being, turning attention toward the state you desire rather than the lack you fear. The report you receive becomes a mirror of your inner condition, not a verdict on the past. Remember the Presence of God is the I AM within, the unchanging reality that stands with you as you imagine. If you revise your state to match the restored city walls, gates, and streets, you initiate the conditions for that reality to unfold. Your inner report, rightly interpreted, becomes a summons to rebuild, and your conviction that it is so is what makes the city appear in your life.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and envision your inner Jerusalem restored, walls strengthened, and peace within. Then affirm I am the I AM here and now, and this city is mine, felt as real.
