Chariots of Inner Lightning

Nahum 2:4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Nahum 2 in context

Scripture Focus

4The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings.
Nahum 2:4

Biblical Context

In plain terms, the verse depicts chariots racing through the streets, clashing and flashing like torches and lightning. It signals divine judgment and the power of righteous action moving through the land.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of Nahum 2:4 as a vision of the inner traffic of your consciousness. The chariots are not armies in history, but movements of thought and feeling sweeping through your mind. The streets are the channels of attention—the habitual ways you carry yourself through time. When you entertain a desire, the mind gathers its energy; chariots collide and jostle, and their light appears as flashes in awareness. The torches and lightning symbolize the illumination that accompanies a conscious assumption held as if true now. The 'righteousness' is simply aligning action with the assumed state, and the prophecy of exile and return becomes your inner release from limitation and the return to wholeness. I AM the awareness that notices this movement; I AM the authority of the state I choose to inhabit. In this sense, judgment arises from within, as you permit a new state to take root. The scene on the street is your inner drama: in imagination, you ride the chariot of your experience, and by feeling it real, you reveal the justice of your being.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly and assume the state you desire as already real. Visualize the streets of your mind filled with rushing chariots, then restate I AM this state and feel it real in your chest.
