12Thus saith the LORD; Though they be quiet, and likewise many, yet thus shall they be cut down, when he shall pass through. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more.
Nahum 1:12

Biblical Context

The verse declares that even a quiet, numerous foe will be cut down as the LORD passes through; it also promises that affliction will end.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within your inner life, the LORD is the I AM that moves through your consciousness. Quiet appearances and many seeming obstacles symbolize fixed states, but when the I AM passes through, those conditions are cut down by the light of awareness. The line though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more is not a threat but a law of consciousness: once you allow the mover to pass, the old state departs and you rest in a new enduring state. Judgment and accountability become the recognition that you have chosen a higher state, and the world must reflect that inner choice. Restoration arises not merely as mercy from without, but as the revision of your inner assumption until you feel the new reality as your own. You are invited to see yourself as already free, the current of your life redirected by the I AM moving through, ending the pattern of suffering and bringing peaceful rest.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, assume I AM as your present feeling and dwell in the sense of rest; imagine the I AM moving through your inner rooms and cutting down every trace of fear, then hold that state until it feels real.
