Inner Hope, Outer Vindication
Micah 7:7-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Micah 7 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The speaker trusts the LORD, waits for salvation, and believes God will hear. Even in fall and darkness, they anticipate light, vindication, and the enemy's shame.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within Micah’s words you hear the practice: I look to the LORD within; I wait for the God of my salvation, for my I AM hears me. The 'enemy' is the old pattern of thought that would keep you in darkness; when you fall, you rise, and the light becomes your immediate condition. I bear the indignation of the LORD, not as punishment, but as inner correction aligning perception with the truth of your being. Until God pleads your cause—until your assumption takes full hold—the inner court remains in session, and the light restores you to righteousness. The light you behold is the perception of your own righteousness expressed as acts of love and truth. Dwelling in that consciousness, the adversarial scene dissolves into demonstration: the old foe is seen for what it is, and, by the authority of your realized state, he or she is compelled to yield to the illuminate presence of your I AM.
Practice This Now
Sit in quiet and assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled: 'I am saved; I am light.' Hold that state for 5–10 minutes, seeing the surrounding scenes reflect your inner dawn and the light dissolving every sense of darkness.
