Dust to Divine Fear

Micah 7:17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Micah 7 in context

Scripture Focus

17They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they shall be afraid of the LORD our God, and shall fear because of thee.
Micah 7:17

Biblical Context

Micah 7:17 foretells enemies exposing themselves and becoming afraid, as people awaken to the Lord God within.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the light of the I AM, the dust and the holes are not dangers outside you but states of consciousness inside you. The 'enemies' who creep from hiding are memories of doubt, pride, and conflict arising in your mind. They lick the dust only because you have forgotten your sovereign power to imagine a new scene. When you return to the awareness that I AM is the sole reality, these figures shrink, their fear turning to reverence as your consciousness asserts mastery. The fear of the Lord your God becomes not a threat but a deep awe you carry as you realize you are the sovereign creator of your experience. This verse invites you to shift your inner weather rather than to fight external forces; by dwelling in the I AM, you dissolve the imagined opposition and mirror an inner victory in your world.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the state 'I AM' now. See the enemies retreat from their holes, dissolve into dust, and feel reverent awe rising as your awareness claims dominion.
