Inner Worship Beyond Ritual
Micah 6:6-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Micah 6 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Micah ponders how to approach God; he asks if ritual offerings can please the Lord, contrasting sacrifices with true obedience.
Neville's Inner Vision
Before the Lord is your own I AM. The prophet's question becomes your inner dialogue: what state of consciousness would you enter to stand in the presence of God? The text does not deny ritual, but it places the demand on your inner life. The thousands of rams and rivers of oil are the outer symbols of an inner belief that satisfaction comes from doing things rather than being present. In Neville's language, God is not somewhere out there, but the I AM that you are aware of. Offerings are only the sign you use to confirm the state you occupy. If you desire God, you must assume and dwell in the inner state of justice, mercy, and humility—not as external acts, but as the established reality of your consciousness. When you revision your sense of guilt, when you feel it real that you are the living presence of the Lord, you are already in true worship. The heart's obedience is a faithful listening to the inner Spirit.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the inner state you seek: justice, mercy, humility. Feel it real now and let the outer acts reflect this inward alignment.
