Inner Righteousness, Not Ritual
Micah 6:5-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Biblical Context
Micah 6:5-6 asks how to approach the LORD: through ritual or through the inner righteousness already present. It invites turning from external acts to inner alignment.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, Micah asks: how do you come before the LORD? Through offerings or through the inner righteousness that you already are? The answer is within you: the LORD’s righteousness is the state of awareness you cultivate, not the calves you offer. Balak's memory and Balaam's reply show that no external ritual can awaken what only you can awaken by turning attention inward. The journey from Shittim to Gilgal is the movement of consciousness from fear and striving to rest in the I AM. When you remember this exchange, you may revise your worship: you do not come to God by performing, you come as the very awareness that performs through you. Stand before the high God as the one who is already righteous, because you are the living, breathing I AM. Practice beginning here, now, in this moment, and let the sense of separation fall away. The Presence of God is not distant; it is the clarity of awareness you are.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, recall your today’s attempt to approach God through ritual, and revise by saying, I am the righteousness of the LORD now; feel the truth as a living warmth in your chest and sit with that feeling for a minute.
