Awakening the Inner King

Micah 4:9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Micah 4 in context

Scripture Focus

9Now why dost thou cry out aloud? is there no king in thee? is thy counsellor perished? for pangs have taken thee as a woman in travail.
Micah 4:9

Biblical Context

Micah 4:9 asks why you cry and whether any king or counsellor remains within. The travail imagery signals inner birth of a new ruling state in your consciousness.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your cry is not a plea to the world but a signal from your inner self that sovereignty has fallen asleep. There is a king in thee, you are told, but you have looked outward for counsel, mistaking outer events for guidance. In this light, the pangs you feel are contractions of a dying belief in separation; they force open the passage for a fresh ruler to arise—your I AM, your pure awareness. Do not seek a crown in time or in others; attend to the I AM that knows itself as governor of the scene. When you identify with that state, the scene rearranges to reflect its governance. The old counsel may be gone, but there is a divine counsel within as presence and power. By assuming the state of kingship, you revise the inner atmosphere and the world accordingly; your power is not achieved but awakened through the realization that you are already the author of your experience.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly, place your hand on your heart, and declare 'I AM the king now.' Visualize a crown settling on your head and a single scene where your decision governs outcomes; dwell there until it feels real.
