Biblical Context
Micah 4:6-7 speaks of God gathering the scattered and afflicted, forming a remnant, and ruling over Zion forever. In plain sense, it hints at a future restoration and present inner sovereignty.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within the Neville frame, the day spoken of is a state of consciousness. The assembly and gathering are not distant events but the bringing together of scattered feelings, memories, and beliefs into a single awareness: I AM. Those who halt, are driven out, or afflicted, are the parts of you longing to return to the sovereignty of consciousness. When you refuse to identify with pain and instead assume the feeling of the I AM as sovereign ruler, the halting becomes a remnant, and the dispersed is seen as a strong nation under Zion—the inner kingdom of present awareness. The LORD reigning over them in mount Zion is simply the I AM of you governing every thought, word, and sensation from this moment forward, forever. So the verse invites you to change not the world but your state: convert exile into inner rule, convert weakness into the steady recollection of your awareness, and make your inner life the reality that endures longer than circumstance. Faith is not hoping for change; it is the change of state in consciousness, here and now, until it remains forever.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine you are gathering every scattered part of your life into a single sovereign inner nation. Repeat I AM reigns in Zion within me until that sense of ruling feels more real than any circumstance.
