When Vision Fails, Trust Within
Micah 3:4-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Micah 3 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Micah 3:4–7 describes how those who mislead and cling to illusory peace cause God's presence to withdraw; vision fades and seers are ashamed when truth is ignored.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the inner psychology, the passage reveals that the true guide is the I AM within you, not external voices. When you let your thoughts bite with false comfort and cry 'Peace' while withholding truth, you invite a night to fall upon your inner vision and the diviner grows dark. The prophets and seers are states of consciousness—habitual patterns that promise safety but distort truth. To revive vision, refuse the counterfeit voices; revise your inner assumption until you align with the unwavering presence that hears and answers. See every word and action as a signal of your inner posture: are you seeking truth or soothing stories? When you return to the I AM, you restore the authority by which ideas manifest. Then the night lifts, the day returns, and guidance shines again as your own perceived reality.
Practice This Now
Practice: sit in silence, place a hand on your chest, and declare, 'I am the I AM; I hear within me.' Feel the warmth of acknowledgment as you imagine inner guidance leading you toward truth.
