Inner Justice in Micah 3:11

Micah 3:11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Micah 3 in context

Scripture Focus

11The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? none evil can come upon us.
Micah 3:11

Biblical Context

Micah 3:11 speaks of leaders who judge for reward, priests who teach for hire, and prophets who divine for money, then pretend that the LORD is with them. It condemns the hypocrisy of outward piety masking mercenary motives.

Neville's Inner Vision

Imagine the verse not as distant condemnation, but as a teaching about your inner life. The 'heads' who judge for reward, the 'priests' who teach for hire, the 'prophets' who divine for money are the three faculties of judgment, inspiration, and guidance when they operate under mercenary motives. When they judge for reward, you reveal a consciousness that trades truth for gain; when they teach for hire, you expose an idea that learning is bought; when they divine for money, you show a belief that power is for sale. Yet they lean on the LORD, saying, Is not the LORD among us? none evil can come. Neville would say: the God they lean on is the I AM they refuse to fully own. To change, you must assume the opposite: I am the LORD in this mind; I am the source of all right judgment, honest teaching, and true inspiration. Revise that you need nothing from outside to prove divine presence; feel the truth as you acknowledge it now, and let the outer world reflect a purified intention. The mask of hypocrisy dissolves where consciousness is aligned with integrity.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and declare: I am the I AM, the judge, priest, and prophet in this mind. See yourself stepping from the hired theater into a clear inner court, and feel the reality that you are the source of all true guidance.
