Biblical Context
Micah 2:6-11 rebukes false prophets who prophesy for shame and calls Jacob to seek true guidance from the Spirit. It exposes social injustice, invites departure from a polluted rest, and warns that deceitful prophecy leads to destruction.
Neville's Inner Vision
Names and images in Micah are not distant facts but states of your mind. Prophesy not to them that prophesy is the siren call to seek counsel outside your awareness; it invites you to listen within where the I AM speaks. The house of Jacob is your inner stance; when the spirit of the LORD is not straitened, your awareness is free of fear, habit, or pride, and words that align with upright living begin to heal your patterns. The people rising as an enemy, the robe torn from passing by, signal the shedding of old pretenses and the removal of security built on appearances. The women taken from pleasant houses and glory withdrawn speak of cherished external comforts; depart from that rest, for it is polluted and will destroy you only when you cling to it. If a man walking in spirit and falsehood lie, promising wine and strong drink, he will be the prophet of this people, i.e., the mind that uses intoxicating setups to masquerade as truth. Your work is discernment and inner alignment: hear the true guidance within, and let your rest be the rest of the I AM, now.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Close your eyes and assume the I AM speaks as your inner prophet; revise any external doom into inner guidance; feel-it-real that your next step is guided by quiet, upright consciousness.
