Arise From Polluted Rest Within

Micah 2:10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Micah 2 in context

Scripture Focus

10Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction.
Micah 2:10

Biblical Context

Micah 2:10 tells you to rise and depart from a rest that is polluted, for clinging to it leads to destruction.

Neville's Inner Vision

Arise and depart is not a command to flee a place, but a summons to relinquish the polluted rest you have mistaken for life. Your true rest is the I AM, the steady awareness that remains unmoved by outward appearances. The rest Micah condemns is a rest built on limitation—fear, habit, attachment—that poisons your sense of self. When you identify with that polluted rest, you invite destruction by anchoring yourself in a realm that cannot sustain your higher self. Yet you can answer the call by turning inward and assuming the reality of the I AM as your living presence. As you dwell in that unequivocal awareness, you depart from the old mood and enter the inner sanctuary where nothing defiles you and no condition can threaten your peace. The so-called destruction is simply the collapse of a false self when faced with the truth you are the I AM.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly, breathe, and assume the feeling of I AM resting within you; dwell there for a minute, revoking polluted thoughts and confirming the higher state as your real atmosphere.
