Inner Harvest And Laborers

Matthew 9:37-38 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Matthew 9 in context

Scripture Focus

37Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
38Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
Matthew 9:37-38

Biblical Context

The harvest is plentiful but workers are few. Jesus invites prayer for more laborers, pointing to an inner reality where the field is your life and laborers are states of consciousness ready to express.

Neville's Inner Vision

The harvest represents limitless inner possibilities awaiting expression through an awakened self. The 'laborers' are not distant people but new states of consciousness you are capable of. When you pray to the Lord of the harvest, turn your attention to the I AM within—the one awareness that creates. The laborers come into appearance not by chance but by your revision of what you assume about yourself and your circumstances. If you entertain the assumption that you are already the laborer—equipped, led, and in the right field—then opportunities, guidance, and inspired action flow as if drawn by an unseen carpenter. The harvest is a harvest of consciousness, ripening wherever your imagination dwells. Abide in the feeling of being employed by the harvest, and you align your inner faculties with outer events until they appear as reality. Trust the I AM to send forth the laborers from within you.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Assume, 'I am the laborer sent into my harvest,' and feel it real for 5 minutes. Then watch your day for opportunities that confirm this inner state.
