Inner Touch, Whole Within

Matthew 9:21 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Matthew 9 in context

Scripture Focus

21For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.
Matthew 9:21

Biblical Context

In Matthew 9:21, the woman states within herself that touching Jesus' garment will make her whole. This shows healing begins in inner conviction.

Neville's Inner Vision

Observe in this verse that the healing begins not with the crowd, but with a quiet inward decree. The woman remembers the principle I teach: you do not seek God outside you; you prove the I AM by becoming it in consciousness. Her thought, "If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole," is a deliberate assumption that the state of wholeness already exists in her, and she simply turns her attention to it. The garment is a symbol of contact with the outward expression of the Inner Presence, yet the real action is inner: she imagines the result and settles the feeling of wellness as if it already is. When you practice this, you imitate her: refuse the sense of lack, dwell in the feeling that you are complete, and let that state of consciousness permeate every cell. The healing is not something added to you; it is your awareness becoming vivid and real. Your future becomes present by the power of your I AM, tended with steady trust and a quiet, faithful revision of any doubt.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine the hem of your inner garment brushing your hand. Feel the state of wholeness as already accomplished, and dwell there until it becomes your only reality.
