Meek Inheritance of the Earth
Matthew 5:5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Matthew 5 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Meekness is blessed because it leads to inheriting the earth. Humility is the doorway to the fullness of life.
Neville's Inner Vision
The Sermon on the Mount speaks not of land but of consciousness. The meek are those who yield to the I AM within, surrendering resistance to the divine movement. Earth represents the outer world that mirrors your inner state. If you cling to control or fear, you cultivate a soil of conflict; if you imagine yourself softly guided by the higher law, you shift your inner weather and begin to inherit the earth by living from that higher state. The kingdom is within you, and the outer world becomes a fruit of your inner alignment—accepting, loving, and being led rather than pushing. When you dwell in the I AM and feel it real, your life reflects that ownership without striving. In this sense, meekness is not weakness but a powerful receptivity that awakens your true inheritance.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly, assume the state of meekness, and repeat, 'I yield to the I AM within, and I inherit the earth.' Visualize your surroundings shifting to reflect peaceful, settled self.
