Perfect Like the Father Within
Matthew 5:48 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Be ye therefore perfect... It asks you to realize a perfect state of consciousness modeled after the Father in heaven. Perfection here is inner alignment, not simply outward deeds.
Neville's Inner Vision
Let us view 'Be ye therefore perfect' as a decree about your inner self. In Neville's sense, the Father in heaven is the I AM you awaken to, and perfection is a habit of consciousness rather than a distant achievement. When you imagine yourself as that already-formed nature, your thoughts and feelings shift to harmony, and the world follows suit. The command does not demand striving from a separated ego but a return to the knowing I AM that never changes. Imagine a sculptor within you, shaping every sensation, belief, and action from the finished statue you already are. As you dwell in that state, impulses of fear, doubt, or lack dissolve, replaced by the steady rhythm of completeness. Each moment offers a vocation to revise: if you feel less-than, revise to 'I am the perfect expression of the Father now,' and feel that truth until it fills your memory, imagination, and conduct. Your outer life becomes a reflection of this inner perfection.
Practice This Now
Practice: tonight, close your eyes, repeat 'I am the perfect expression of the Father now' as you breathe, and hold that feeling for a minute; tomorrow, test it by acting from that state.
